Wearing red in Summer & how to choose the perfect red hue

[ad_1]

As you might have noticed, I have always loved red. Just a touch of it and you can look and feel so elegant! An all-year-round staple of my red obsession is my red nail polish, and lipstick too!

When it comes to my wardrobe I have collected many red items over the years, especially for Summer, but I have to be honest, it took some trial-and-error attempts to find the perfect red hue for me. So I thought I would share one tip with you on how you can pick the perfect red hue for you. Here’s how: there are warm, orangy and olive-toned reds, like Scarlet and Vermillion red and there are reds with slight bluish and purplish undertones like Crimson and Carmine red. Generally, the first group of reds works better for those with warmer undertones and the second group tends to look better on those with cooler undertones, try them out and see what does the trick!

Personally, in Summer I am all about warm red hues. This dress I am wearing is my absolute favourite red Summer dress and I paired it with my go-to beige hessian slides, so pretty and comfy! You can easily dress it up with heels, chunky gold accessories, a waist belt, and you’re ready for your Summer aperitivo!
